Forest Scene from "Water Whispers"

This story was an environmental fantasy and needed a landscape setting. After trying several horizontal sketches, I finally tried a vertical format and this just felt right. Again, with such a wealth of detail in the story it was hard to select a single scene to illustrate. There was also a very dreamlike, contemplative tone to the story and I wanted to catch that in the idea of a city growing back into a forest.
