Forest Scene from "Water Whispers" —detail of the Butterflies:

The vivid descriptions of the natural environment, animals and insects were one of the things that made "Water Whispers" such a memorable story. I have recently read about the destruction of insect life in the rain forest and how even the migration of the Monarch Butterfly which winters in Mexico is now threatened. Also the idea of yellow butterflies against a verdant, green background was just TOO good to pass up.
