The Calling

I do not wish to go
To the places where you sleep
Yet you beckon
Calling
Ebbing forth into my mind
My life
Like malodorous poppies
Signifying death in dreaming
Behind pretty
Painted poses.
I know your faces
Not all,
But some.
I thought I’d done with you
Finished
With the time
The acts
Harbored in misty
Muddled places I cannot
Will not
Access.
So why leech into my days
Challenge me on brinks of grander vistas
Places I thought you once wished too for me to see.
But now you beckon still
Fear wrapped glove o’er skeletal hand
To grasp
Claw
Drag me back into your slumberous labyrinth
The place where light reflects not itself
All mirrors false and blinding.

You beckon.
I,
dancing to your piper’s music,
refuse to bend my gait
to your calling
your music may rankle still in my ears
turning my thoughts
my visions sour
But the path away from you
From your twisted perversions
Of reality
That is where I head
Where e’er it leads
Even if it passes
Straight through
You.
I go.

Shivers of breathless expectation
I reach for you unheeding.
Languorous sultry flow
I drown in your essence.
Situation fuzzy bright,
Second thoughts held for distant ‘morrows.
Shimmering droplets of bliss,
Delectable laughter filled moments
Crystallizing precious, hidden thoughts.
Riotous tremors of something new
I cling, frozen.
Explosion, fire flight rebellion.
My mind cries out
Stipulating meanings beyond context.
I turn my face from merciless morning.
Pop reverberating,
A distant bell keening,
Fantasy beyond fiction,
I hide in its shadows.
Waterfall dreams of laughter
Carried off on chilling winds,
Sighing, lilting, floating
Your final embers melt away.

Sighing, lilting, floating,
Ebbing, soothing, rising.
Once again, again, again.
Fill blessed darkness
‘Til morning’s bell tears down all.

Eternal Fall

Precious Spirit,
You slice, knife shards through me
My soul staggers bleeding
Eyes roll in blinding, stunning pain
Agony exquisite
To know you, feel you, hear and touch you
I'm left cringing through my moments
Withdrawal ravaged junky of One essence
Knowing hell waits beyond the walls of every heart-breath
Vexing, tormenting, calling
I fall on stumps useless for else
Your taste singeing my membranes
I almost wish I never knew
The truth you toss so casually
Mere trifles to swine unheeding, unseeing
Yet to live again without your whisper
Beckons coldest Hades to my womb
Shatters my bones with crumbling wings
I may be broken in your passing
But how else to gaze upon
The grandeur of all heaven
Than from
                          The eternal fall.
